The Tampa Bay United Rowdies MLS NEXT Academy Program Staff will be hosting tryouts this March for the 2021/2022 season. The goal of these tryouts are for players of high quality and potential to be evaluated by the Academy Staff to form the boys MLS NEXT team rosters for the upcoming season.
MLS NEXT provides the best player development experience in North America. Founded on a collaborative approach to governance and a commitment to innovation, MLS NEXT players have access to the highest level of competition and to training and personal development opportunities that will prepare them for their futures, both in soccer and in life.
Current membership includes 113 clubs, 489 teams, 9,000+ players across the U.S. and Canada and features over 90% of the current youth national team player pools.

Tryout Requirements:
> Players are to wear a white shirt for each tryout
> Players need to arrive 30 minutes prior to tryout
> Tryouts are open to all competitive players (inside & outside of TBU)
> All interested players MUST register prior to attending the tryout (registration link below)
> Players will be provided ID Numbers at initial sign in; players are to keep & use same ID Number during tryout each session

***The U12 Boys Florida Academy League (formally known as U12 US Soccer Development Academy) serves as the Pre-Development Academy program for all MLS NEXT programs in Florida. This is the top level of youth soccer in the state of Florida for U12s and serves to foster MLS NEXT club’s growth in player development through elite competition. The U12 Boys Florida Academy League maintains all the requirements and standards of the MLS NEXT.
