Lead Athletic Trainer: James (Jimmy) Spinale
James (Jimmy) Spinale is the Lead Athletic Trainer (ATC/L) at Tampa Bay United Soccer Club where he is responsible for evaluating athlete injuries, planning rehabilitation programs, as well as work with other health care professionals to aid in the optimum health of the athlete.
As a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience, Jimmy is known for his unrivaled passion and dedication to the athlete. When Jimmy is not treating patients, he leads or participates in numerous educational seminars, from nutrition to sports health.
Throughout his career, Jimmy has served as an Athletic Trainer in a variety of sports sectors and clubs including St.Louis Cardinals (Minor League), Sports Performance Volleyball Club, US Soccer U17- National Team, as well as Premier Sports Medicine.
Jimmy grew up in Wilmington, Illinois, and obtained a Biology/Sports Medicine degree from Missouri Valley College (’98).
Athletic Trainer: Haley Todaro
Haley Todaro MS, LAT, ATC graduated in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina. She then went on to complete a one-year residency program focusing on professional and personal development. Following her residency, Haley worked in outpatient rehabilitation centers, where she sharpened her skills in physical therapy; varying modalities, manual therapy techniques, post-operative treatment, and return-to-sport criteria. She successfully completed her Master of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Science through the University of Tampa in 2019. Haley has always played and had a passion for the game of soccer. Therefore, understanding the athlete and what soccer requires, she hopes to provide quality care as well as grow the Athletic Training profession by mentoring upcoming professionals.

The hours and locations currently listed are currently for our Lead Athletic Trainer, Jimmy Spinale, and Haley Todaro.
Post-game injury evaluations should be scheduled by contacting the TBU athletic trainer, either Jimmy Spinale ([email protected] / 941-807-2517) or Haley Todaro ([email protected] / (540) 809-1780). You may visit during the hours/locations noted; however, it is highly recommended to schedule a date/time with the athletic trainer in advance should availability and/or location change without notice.
*Thursday Availability: Jimmy is currently available every other Thursday. Contact Trainer to verify availability.
**Additional PT Solutions Athletic Training staff will be available during weekend games at Ed Radice Complex and/or Monroe Middle School campus.
